Hi Timothy & Carrie
February is traditionally the warmest month of our summer. The evenings are light and warm. It can also be very humid. Sometimes wet.
The most important consideration is, I think, protection from the sun - which has v high UV levels in NZ.
Pack sun screen (or buy here) sun hats, loose cotton clothing - both short and long sleeved, shorts, and togs (swimming costumes), sun glasses, light windproof rain coats, sandals.
See you soon!

Hi from her bloke:
Treat that alpine walk with respect. Typical Alpine country, can be extremely hot, change suddenly and become perishingly cold. But a great experience and stunning views. Take clothing for the worst of circumstances, enough water - I would be very cautious with children, take note of weather and get advice from alpine authorities regarding families.
I sound like an old grandfather
I am.
I once had to help somebody out who was inadequately prepared in a change of weather, it was a drain on our group and I learned from the experience. Every year there are mishaps, tragedies, involving too many of our overseas visitors.
Of course it may all go well and I will have made a nitwit of myself.
Again.
Nevertheless eager to meet and enjoy some Thames / Coromandel with you. Hoping Jen can join for much of that.
Enjoy Hllary's (born again tech whizz)photos and comments. Keep it going, us oldies have much in the twinkle-in-the eye department - we'll show them young 'uns!
David
